Green Points main stretch of road has a bit of everything from supermarkets like Spar and Woolworths foods,  small niche shops as well as coffee shops and restaurants

The V&A Waterfront is just 15 minutes away, offering everything from boutiques and supermarkets to speciality stores.   A little further down the road in Sea Point you also have a wide variety of stores and supermarkets

Schools:

Reddam Private school is located in Green Point.  The University Graduate school of business is close by as well and primary schools such as Ellerton and Sea Point Primary.

Healthcare:

The Sea Point Medical Centre, Cape Town Mediclinic and New Somerset Hospital offer a range of specialised treatments.

There are many specialist and general practices in Sea Point Main Road including General Practitioners, Chiropractors, Paediatricians etc.

Nightlife:

There are some trendy restaurants and nightlife spots in Green Point, popular is Cubana and Jade Champagne Bar and Lounge as well as Cabrito for a few pre-drinks.

Activities:

Take a cycle/jog/walk to the promenade along the bicycle lane that runs all the way from town, through Green Point, into Sea Point.  The Point Virgin Active Gym is within walking distance and is one of the most popular gyms around with outside volleyball court, tennis courts, inside/outside pools and all the important equipment of a modern gym.

The Green Point Urban Park is also a must visit with its tranquil gardens and great setting.

If you are an avid golfer, try the Metropolitan golf park which borders the Urban Park and is nestled below the Stadium.

Restaurants:

There are many restaurants nearby in Green Points Main Road that serve up something for every palette. Some favourites are Manos and El Burro (must try for top Mexican food)

For lighter meals and healthier all day meals, there is NU and Osumo.

Hudsons on Somerset is also worth a try for great burgers.

Green Point is 5 minutes from the Cape Town CBD and 5 minutes from Sea Point, making it ideally situated and a favourite destination for tourists and locals alike.
